The other day i saw a pic someone posted online of their new luxury vehicle. Im fine with that good for them. The thing that made me mad was to see #Jesus and #luxury together in the same post. Like Jesus is in the business of handing out comfortable lives.

I started thinking how ridiculous it would be for God to hear a starving person praying for bread and another person praying for a BMW. No God does not give us BMWs. He gives us resources that we are supposed to distribute to make this world better. (“If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.” -Luke 3:11)

In the parable of the coins, the master gives out money to his servants before he leaves. He expects them to do something with the resources they have been trusted with. When the master returned and found that some of them used the resources properly he said, “You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities.” (Matthew 25:21) At the end of my life I don’t want to be remembered as the guy who lived in luxury while others suffered. Is our generation being faithful with what we have been trusted with?
